MULTIPLE LITERACIES & GOAL SETTING
Students will be able to demonstrate how they marshal/leverage their multiple literacies (e.g. speaking, listening, reading, multilingual writing, translating, multimodality, etc.) to support their writing processes.
This analysis focuses on examining how I utilize multiple literacies—such as reading, writing, listening, and multimodal communication—to support and enhance my writing process. By drawing on these varied forms of literacy, including my ability to navigate different languages or media, I am better able to meet the goals of different writing tasks. This reflection will demonstrate how leveraging these literacies has helped me adapt my writing strategies, deepen my understanding of audience and purpose, and strengthen the overall effectiveness of my written work.
To demonstrate my understanding of multiple literacies, I have included examples that illustrate how I connect the practical use of the order ticket in a high-volume restaurant to the rhetorical concept of genre. This connection was explored in depth in my Unit 2 project. Additionally, I have provided my writing processes and drafts to highlight my engagement with interpreting and navigating multiple forms of language and context within writing.
