WRITING PROCESSES & ADAPTATION
Students will be able to describe and reflect on writing processes in order to flexibly adapt them to support their goals.
In this reflection, I will explore my understanding of the writing process and how I’ve learned to adapt it based on different goals, audiences, and assignments. By examining my habits—from brainstorming and drafting to revising and finalizing—I aim to show how becoming more aware of my writing process has helped me approach writing tasks with greater flexibility and confidence. This reflection highlights how adapting my strategies has improved not just the quality of my writing, but also my ability to meet the demands of various writing situations.
In this reflection, I present two distinct writing scenarios that demonstrate how my writing process adapts depending on the audience and purpose. The first example showcases the feedback I provided to a peer, while the second highlights a reflective piece I composed in response to feedback on my own work. These examples illustrate the differences in tone, structure, and intent required by each situation, as well as my ability to tailor my writing process to effectively engage with different audiences.
