DECISION MAKING & PRODUCTION
Students will be able to produce writing that demonstrates their ability to navigate choices and constraints when writing for specific audiences, genres, and purposes.
This analysis demonstrates my ability to make thoughtful and effective decisions throughout the writing process by navigating the specific demands of audience, genre, and purpose. Through various assignments, I showcase how I adapt my writing strategies in response to different rhetorical situations, making intentional choices about tone, structure, and content to meet the expectations of each context. These examples reflect my growth in producing writing that is both purposeful and audience-aware.
To demonstrate my growth and development in this outcome, I have included the Idea Exchange from Unit 1. In this piece, I initially struggled to fully develop a clear plan for my project. However, after receiving constructive feedback, I revised my approach to more effectively address the goals of the assignment and align with the expectations of the prompt. As part of this revision process, I made a deliberate decision to focus on either logos or ethos as my primary rhetorical appeal. I carefully analyzed my writing example to determine which strategy best supported my argument and purpose.
